Change of personnel of Logistic Support Unit of Lithuanian-led PRT in Ghowr took place on July 27, Ghowr, Chaghcharan. Thirty two specialists of logistics will be replaced by an incoming unit after nine months of service.

Commander of PRT-7 Col. Ramunas Baronas thanked leaving soldiers for their dedication and wished a good journey home; three most distinguished members of the unit were awarded.

The leaving unit was deployed to Afghanistan with PRT-6 but its period of operation was extended by three months in order to ensure continuous logistic support during the change of rotations of PRT personnel. Consequently, rotation of all the logistic support elements coming after will take place three months later than that of PRT, their duty period will last for half a year.

The incoming and leaving troops were blessed by chaplain of PRT-7 Capt. Jonas Tamosiunas. Present rotation of PRT was strengthened not only by a new Logistics Support Unit but also by 16 soldiers of Guard Company who were deployed with PRT-7 before several days for a better protection of the compound.
