Soldiers of Portugal on Baltic Air policing mission visit Siauliai Orphans' Home

On December 7 at 15 p.m. members of Portuguese Contingent on the Baltic Air-policing mission will visit children of Siauliai Orphans' Home (Vilniaus str. 297, Siauliai). Portuguese soldiers and members of the Lithuanian Air Force Aviation Base will give Christmas presents, spend some time with children and perform a short solo concert.

Portuguese Air Force Contingent on NATO Baltic Air Policing mission and International Federation of Young Leaders and Businessmen JCI Lietuva implemented seven joint projects. The Portuguese soldiers listened to a lecture on Lithuanian's fights for freedom in XX c. and briefed their Lithuanian colleges on the Air policing mission and skills of international communication.

Ghowr Criminal Police officers finished second stage of training

Two Lithuanian police officers responsible for the Afghan National Police Capacity Development in the Rural Areas of Ghowr Province project concluded the second stage of Ghowr Criminal Police training on December 2. The concluding ceremony was attended Chief of Ghowr Criminal Police Amanullah Beg, Deputy Chief of Ghowr National Police Zainal Abudin, instructors and members of PRT-6.

Armed Forces Commander and Defence Minister of Portugal on the first visit to Lithuania

Lithuanian Defence Minister Juozas Olekas will meet with the Defence Minister Nuno Severiano Teixeira of Portugal currently holding the EU Presidency Forces who visits Lithuania for the first time on December 11.
