Lithuanian handball players successfully started in the IV World's Military Sports Games in India 2007.10.15
  Lithuanian handball team played the first match against Turkish team. This challenge did not prevent Lithuanians from winning at the result 27:24. ”Our men displayed dauntless game and achieved the victory easily. The results do not reflect the course of the game because Lithuanian players were stronger than their opponents from the very beginning of the match", said the leader of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Athletes Lieutenant Colonel Valentinas Mizgaitis.

Over 4 tons of drugs destroyed in Ghowr, Afghanistan 2007.10.11
 On October 10 more than 4 tons of drugs were destroyed in Ghowr, Afghanistan. These drugs were seized by the local police between the middle of September and beginning of October.
The drugs were burnt in the presence of the Ghowr PRT-5 Commander Colonel Dalius Polekauskas, Governor of the province Baz Mohammad Ahmady, and other heads of policing and security institutions.

 On October 8 Lithuanian Armed Forces Commander General Major Valdas Tutkus visited Lithuanian-led PRT members deployed on mission in Ghowr, Afghanistan, and met with representatives of local government.

KFOR-17 Platoon deployed on mission in Kosovo 2007.10.04
 Formal deployment ceremony will be held on October 5 in the Grand Duchess of Lithuania Birute Motorised Infantry Battalion in Alytus for KFOR-16 Platoon leaving on peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, province of Serbia. The ceremony will be attended by the National Defence Minister J.Olekas, interim Land Force Commander Col. Vytautas Zukas, National Defence Volunteer Force Commander Antanas Plieskis, representatives of local military and paramilitary structures, and families of the soldiers.
