Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces to pay an official visit to Poland 2004.11.02
![]() Between 3-4 November Commander Lithuanian Armed Forces, Major General Valdas Tutkus, will be with an official visit to Poland.
Major General Tutkus' visit agenda will include meetings with State Secretary of the Polish Ministry of Defence, Janusz Zemke, and Chief of General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, Czeslaw Piątas.
The meeting will focus on bilateral military co-operation projects and their prospects, participation of Lithuanian and Polish troops in international missions in Iraq. About 50 troops from Lithuania are currently serving within the Polish-led contingent in the Polish controlled sector. The agenda will also include visits to the Defence Academy in Warsaw and the Air Operations Centre. |
