Lithuanian soldier injured in Iraq 2004.05.08
![]() In the afternoon of 8 May, a Lithuanian peacekeeper serving in Iraq near Basra suffered minor injuries. The soldier suffered a leg injury while he was on patrolling. The injured soldier has been taken to a British military hospital near Basra. His health status is stable with no threat to his life. The incident was reported to the injured soldier's parents. Investigation into the incident is currently underway. |

Acting President of Lithuania visiting military units 2004.05.07
![]() On Monday, 10 May, Acting President of the Republic of Lithuania Artūras Paulauskas will be visiting NATO forces deployed at Zokniai airport, near the northern city of Siauliai.
During the visit, the Acting President Artūras Paulauskas will be accompanied by National Defence Minister Linas Linkevičius and Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, Major General Jonas Kronkaitis.

As a full member of NATO Lithuania to attend Conference of NATIONAL Armaments Directors 2004.05.05
