Croix d'officier de l'Ordre National du Mérite awarded to Lithuanian officer 2010.07.13
  July 14, officer of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Lt Col Artūras Balynas will be awarded with the Officer's Cross of the National Order of Merit of France during celebration of the French National Day. The honourable award will be bestowed by HE François Laumonier, Ambassador of France in Lithuania.

The second political and military talks 2010.07.02
 Lithuanian, Belarusian, Polish and Ukrainian Defence Ministries' Directors of Departments responsible for the international cooperation in the field of defence for the second time met on June 29-30 in Lithuania for political and military talks.Four-party defence cooperation was initiated by the Belarusian Ministry of Defense in 2008 in Minsk where for the first time were held such political and military talks among the countries. |

Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit of the Lithuanian Armed Forces begins duty in NRF 2010.07.01
 June 1, EOD Unit of the Lithuanian Armed Forces based on Juozas Vitkus Engineer Battalion's military personnel begins duty in the NATO Response Force. Around 30 EOD specialists of the Lithuanian Armed Forces will conduct a half year of service in a Polish EOD Company in NRF-15.
They were preceded by a contingent of around 600 military personnel, mainly from the Lithuanian Grand Duke Algirdas Mechanised Infantry Battalion, that served in NRF-14. They were deployed with the joint Baltic Battalion (BALTBAT). |
